I haven't posted much lately, been busy with other things, but I've managed to get out with my camera a bit.  I am practicing with my new "Nifty Fifty" lens and loving it so far! Hard to adjust after getting so used to the camera zooming for me but it makes me move around and that allows me some new angles I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Unintentional Bokeh=Happiness

It's Spring Break which means not a lot of "me" time, and by "me" time I mean photography challenge time. So here's just a picture I took at the zoo that I really liked. The unintentional bokeh made me so happy!

MCP Project 12-Love

This is my submission to the MCP Project 12. I love, love, love this photo challenge because it really gets me out there with my camera looking for that perfect shot.  When I saw these two birds on the wire on a cold, gloomy day, they just screamed love to me.




I used the MCP Texture Applicator Action on this as well as the MCP ACR Presets.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Yes I know it's Monday, but last night was the Superbowl so I have an excuse for not getting these up sooner.  I'm not a big football fan but it was a good game, and the commercials were pretty funny. Madonna has still got it going on lol!

I am soooo excited! I am taking my first photography class tonight! It's a four week class, one day a week but it's a start.  My main goal is to learn enough to be able to shoot in manual. Do you think that is expecting too much?

Ok so here are my submissions for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. The five items this week were: Strike a Pose, Footwear, Hobby, Shiny, and Color Me Green. The shiny one stumped me this week.  It's such a simple prompt but nothing I tried or thought of seemed to work so I pulled from the archives on that one.

I went on a photo shoot with my stepdaughter this week. I have so much to learn about portrait photography but we had a blast and I loved how this one turned out. She is beautiful isn't she?! 

My son's foot wear of choice is usually his bare feet. Luckily we've had a pretty mild winter.

This is a bit of a stretch for shiny but the sun is shining through the corn stalks. Just go with we on this one lol.
